What is it you do here?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I wear many hats in my household. I cook, I clean, I take care of my daughter, I am responsible for the budget (go Dave Ramsey!), and I work. A lot. It seems like I am constantly on. First and foremost I am an Affiliate Marketer. Basically I build websites and then promote other company’s products. I don’t have to hold any inventory or ship anything, but I get a share of the profits. I have been doing this since 2002 on and off. I took a long break when my daughter was born, but I am working at getting back in the swing of things.

I am also a freelance writer. I have been working for the last year for a company that contract with me to blog for them. So cool, I’m a professional blogger :) The work is fairly consistent and very enjoyable. It is a combination of scheduled work and last minute projects, so that keeps things interesting.

For my third job I am a message board moderator. I help to get conversations started, answer questions, and remove spam. It takes up a little bit of my time everyday.

I also have a very, very small business in direct marketing. I like the products for the company that I am with, but it has become too much of a hassle with the recruiting and sales pitches, etc. I’ve tossed around completely leaving the company but I do enjoy the product discount. I’ve decided in the coming year I either have to let it go or make one last, full steam ahead, go of it. I am not entirely convinced that it is a good way to make money though.

That is my life in a nutshell. I hope to talk more in depth about these things later.
