Marketing | Elf
/elf/
noun: A helper working behind the scenes to bring your social media to life. May be magical or mischievous.
Is your social media stuck in one spot? I can help with that.
I may not have the pointy ears, but I do like to consider myself magical. And occasionally mischievous.
Is this you?
You know you need a Facebook page, an Instagram, a Twitter account, YouTube channel, Pinterest and the list just seems to go on and on. You’ve signed up for a few, but they don’t seem to mesh well. The voice across all is not the same.
The time involved to keep them all updated is more than you want to handle. There are other things that you would rather be doing. The core work of your business. You need someone to lighten the load and help you out.
Relax!
This is where I come in!
Who am I?
I’m Shannon Weidemann, the MarketingElf, and my passion is helping brilliant entrepreneurs market their brand on social media, one carefully crafted message at a time.
I have over 14 years of experience working online, perfecting what works to capture attention, start a conversation, and get results. MarketingElf was born with the idea of creating magic on the internet.
What do I do?
I help my clients find their way in social media, making calculated choices as to what platforms they should be represented on. Once we decide where to focus our efforts, we come up with a plan to bring a consistent voice and regular presence across them all.
My social media services give entrepreneurs time back to focus on the core of their business, while expanding their reach and bringing in new customers.

Go More in Depth
I am a Michigan born and raised, only living outside of the Detroit area for the four wonderful years that I studied at Michigan State University in East Lansing, my second home. And of course all of those great Up North vacations. I received my degree in Anthropology and after deciding graduate school was not the direction for me, settled in the Detroit area, got married, and had my daughter.
I’ve been a business owner since 2002, learning much about getting your message noticed and read online, and now am helping other entrepreneurs do the same. It has given me the freedom to always be there when my daughter needs me.
I enjoy reading a great work of fiction, especially those that are world building (or YA fiction, no shame!) and sometimes have to limit the books around me because they have been known to pull me in for hours. In the nicer weather you will find me in my gardens getting an odd satisfaction from weed pulling. I raise Monarch caterpillars in my spare time. Knitting is my other passion, especially hats. It gets cold here in the winter, you know? I’m also a proud dance Mom and love watching my daughter dance in her ballet company.
