Today I just want to take a moment to announce the winner of my Slice Stainless Steel Scissors Giveaway. This was a fun one because I love office supplies and these Slice scissors are used almost daily in my office. They are beautiful to look at and work very well.

There were 52 entries to my giveaway. I placed everyone into a spreadsheet based on the time and date that they entered a comment. Only one entry was disqualified because they commented twice about their favorite office supply (neither was a Slice product, so they only got one entry for naming their favorite office product).

I then went over to Random.org and entered in the numbers 2 to 53 (corresponding to the rows of the spreadsheet with 1 used as the header).

The winning number is 17. Heading over to the spreadsheet we find that the winner is Debbie C when she named the Slice Slanted Soft-Touch Tweezers as her favorite product. Congrats Debbie C! I have sent you an email.

Recently I received a pair of Slice Stainless Steel Scissors. While setting up my new home office, I had to buy a few things, some things came from around the house and others remained outstanding on my “things to get” list. Scissors was on that list. I am so glad that I held off because I love this pair of scissors.

They are made from Japanese stainless steel which makes them very lightweight. They are also very flat, so they don’t take up a lot of room. Plus they can be used both right-handed and left-handed which is great if you are a mixed household. And they “slice” through paper so easily. I made a little video to show you, you can see it here:

My friend Char pointed out this really cool site to me the other day and I wanted to share it with you. They offer removable whiteboard decals, that you just peel and stick to a wall.

I placed an order with WallCandy Arts and within a week it had been shipped and arrived. I ordered two packages of the whiteboards and one package of their removable chalkboards decals.

I don’t have a dedicated office space within my home ever since converting over to laptop a few years ago. I mostly work from my kitchen table and an end table in my living room. I’ve really been wanting a whiteboard to make to do lists and brainstorm on, but not having an office has been a hindrance to that.

I often work from a remote location (i.e. Panera Bread, Biggby, or Starbucks) while my daughter is in preschool. That means I need to bring my office with me. Luckily I am pretty portable and just need my laptop, ipod, notebook, pen, and a bluetooth mouse. You can face many choices when trying to find the perfect bag to store everything. Do you want a backpack, messenger bag or laptop shoulder bag? Something with soft sides or hard sides? High priced or bargain basement? Girly or manly?

I have a pretty feminine black bag with shoulder straps. It works pretty well, but seems to be a tight squeeze for everything. I’m not sure if I need to try a different bag or if I need to find a smaller power cord for my laptop. That seems to be the bulkiest item, besides my laptop that I have.
