In my quest to save time this year, I am interested in using more PLR in my marketing efforts. PLR stands for Private Label Rights and they are articles, reports, and ebooks that you can purchase and edit them to best serve your readers and customers. This is a great way to provide new content on your blog and newsletter, as well as a great basis for putting together an ebook or elearning course. Just as with anything else though, there is both good PLR and bad PLR. How can you avoid buying bad PLR?
Nicole Dean is one of the foremost experts on PLR and she put together this video on avoiding bad PLR. She recommends really checking out the source of PLR before purchasing. One of her tips is to make sure that there is easy to find contact information on their website. It is a good idea to use that information and contact them. Start a dialogue and see what kind of vibe you get.
You also want to see if the PLR is being limited to a specific number of people or will it be available forever. This can affect the number of people that are using it, as well as it’s relevance.
Be specific when purchasing PLR. Don’t buy a package that contains topics that you cannot use. If your website is about cooking, then you certainly don’t want PLR on laser hair removal.

After you are done, then head over to Nicole’s site and check out all the great PLR that she offers.
