While I was at Shareasale’s Think Tank in October I had my first glimpse at a Poken in action. Last year when I attended, the only way I had to exchange information with people was by handing them a business card and receiving one back. This was before I had any kind of smart phone.
While sitting at breakfast on Saturday morning the topic turned to exchanging information. Two people pulled out their Pokens and started talking about how convenient they were. They were these little animal shaped figures that you tap together. A little light turns green and all of you can share your name, phone number, website, twitter, facebook, etc in an instant. Once you get back to your computer you just plug it into a USB port and download.
While I have an iPhone and did get to try out the Bump app while at the conference, not everyone has an iPhone. I would love to get a Poken before traveling to Affiliate Summit in January. It would make exchanging into so much easier and reduce the stack of business cards that then will need to be transferred over by hand.
Do you have a Poken? Has it changed the way you do business at conferences and when you meet new contacts?

Consider it done, Shannon. All I need is your address and what type of poken you want. I look forward to meeting you at Affiliate Summit.
